Driving Range

The views of Hollister Peak and the serene pastoral hillsides provide an idyllic setting for Dairy Creek’s driving range. The 15,000 sq. ft. grass hitting tee provides ample hitting area for you to work on your swing. Eight acres of landing area and five target greens will enable you to use every club in your bag to establish your distances while also working on alignment and shot shapes. Short Game

Dairy Creek also provides an acre of turf for your short game practice needs. This area is equipped with fairway and rough turf heights, two sand bunkers, and three pin locations. You can work on chip and pitch shots up to 20 yards and work your way up to 50‐yard wedge shots. The short game area is adjacent to the driving range tee and is a very short walk to/from the putting green and clubhouse.

Putting Green

All great practice areas must have a place for players to practice their “putting for dough”. Dairy Creek’s 8,000 sq. ft. putting greens has nine different hole locations on varied terrain for perfecting your long lag putts or fine tuning those pesky three footers. This is also a fun spot to challenge your friends for a bit of a competition. Grab your putters, purchase your favorite beverage from the restaurant and play a game of “horse” or “21” golf style. Loser buys the next round!

Cal Poly Practice Center

Dairy Creek is the home for Cal Poly Men’s and Women’s golf teams. The Cal Poly practice center is unique in that it allows players to practice by hitting various shots into actual USGA putting greens. Dairy Creek and Cal Poly are thrilled to be able to rent this spectacular space by the hour to the general public and to our First Tee and High School teams as well. The Cal Poly Practice Facility includes three different practice areas:

  1. Short Game – Practice short pitches and chip shots from fairway, rough and sand lies
  2. Full Shot – Practice shots up to 200 yards from fairway and rough lies
  3. Putting Only – Practice your stroke from 9 different pin locations
